This course will focus on the driving question - “What is the nature of perception?” - to introduce students to the practice of Nalanda Debate and give you a chance to investigate this big question and other related topics using insights from the introductory logic and debate curriculum of the Tibetan academic system.

Both beginners and those with some debate experience are welcome to attend. Students of this course will come away with a working foundation in the Nalanda Debate technique and a deeper, more nuanced understanding of consciousness, the mind, and how the perceived world exists.

This is an in-person only course that has no cost to attend, besides a modest registration fee to ensure students who register are serious about attending. We ask for a donation of $125 USD for non-Indian citizens and rs5000 for Indian citizens to secure your seat. All donations will contribute to the expenses for running the course. Please inform us if you are unable to make the registration donation.

(please note: Losar is the Tibetan New Year, which will occur in February. This Losar Debate School is in lieu of Fall Debate School; the change in dates from prior years was made to accommodate Sera Jey’s schedule.)
